Dead Space Art: What they studied

So the Dead Space team studied pictures of car crash victims and war scenes to get it right.

"We knew this would be difficult to portray, because sometimes gore in games looks cheap and unrealistic," executive producer Glen Schofield told Edge. "Sure enough, the first few corpses that we did, just weren’t convincing enough. I rejected them.

"This sounds horrible, but we had to go look at pictures of car accidents and war scenes and things like that because we had to get it right; we had to portray scenes of terrible carnage and realism. It’s a big part of making that experience convincing."

LittleBigPlanet faces Worldwide Recall

"During the review process prior to the release of LittleBigPlanet, it has been brought to our attention that one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur'an," admitted the company in a statement.

"We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologise for any offence that this may have caused."

The game will now be released on October 27th.

Leakages and Street Dates Being Broken

As seen above, the street date for Little Big Planet was broken. I've got a question. What is up with leaking and broken street days? Little Big Planet is one of many games leaked or with a street date broken such as: Fallout 3, FarCry 2, and Fable 2. What do you guys think of this? Personally I would launch a plan with the game developers to sell the game from their OWN OFFICIAL website. This is just getting out of hand.

Call of Duty World at War beta news

The beta includes 3 maps and a level cap to now 24 as of yesterday night. World at war features new perks and kill streak rewards. The PC beta is coming soon and already rumors are spreading of another level cap raise to level 65. Yes, you may get that flamethrower before the game comes out!

New Xbox Experience not to include movie sharing at the start

Up to eight people could watch a streamed NetFlix flick and share photos via slideshows. Well not at launch. The feature has been yanked from release day. No info on when it will be available.

Fable II LE getting cut to the bear minimum

The Fable II limited edition is getting stripped. The only thing left is the game,making of disc and the in game content. Wow this is just getting ridiculous.

Gears of War 2 Badass-ness

From Kotaku: Epic Games is packing a special treat into every retail Copy of Gears 2 - a coupon redeemable via Xbox Live good that allows players to download five additional maps for the game, each one a slightly more polished version of a map from the first game. The Flashback Map Pack includes newer versions of Canals, Gridlock, Mansion, Subway, and Tyro Station, and will only be available to folks who purchase the game new. Also people who attend midnight launch events around the country will also be able to snag a code for a gold-plated Hammerburst assault rifle.

DSi is right for you and I?

Specs for the new DSI: A 17% bigger screen, a .3 megapixel camera, and up to 10 seconds of sound playback via the microphone. The DSi won't be out in the US until late 2009 and will also have an SD card slot that the Wii will be compatible with. No more GBA slots either.

New Campaign, Characters Coming to The Force Unleashed

LucasArts plans to release new characters and a new single player campaign set in the Jedi Temple as downloadable content for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed in coming months and will feature Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Kit Fisto.
